With the unfortunate demise of the Dog Team Tavern, Fire & Ice now represents one of the longest standing restaurants in Middlebury, not to mention one of its finer dining joints. They feature a thick and hearty clam chowder and all of the entrees are large enough to feed two.  The best part of the restaurant may be their never-ending salad bar, which offers anything from salad to sushi to shrimp cocktail.  The restaurant also has a very cool interior with decorations ranging from Middlebury Campus front pages from the early 20th century to a large wooden motor boat which doubles a part of the salad bar.  Also, check out the Big Moose Pub for a great night at the bar and a delicious and wallet-friendly pub menu.
