What advice would you offer to someone comtemplating this course for next semester?

The class was very good; a lot of Arabic was learned. However, Ikram is a very, very intense professor, who is not very personable. She gets easily flustered in class if you ask a question not directly related to the material at hand, and does not seem to like teaching things "that we haven't covered yet". I will admit that I learned a Arabic well in her class, but she just was not a nice person.
