Professor Vitercik is a funny, eccentric teacher. He presents the material in a disjointed manner, but a simple reading of the textbook fills in most of the gaps. There is one textbook (Listen by Joseph Kerman, 6th ed.), two or three 2-3 page assignments, a 6-9 page final paper, and weekly quizzes. Sometimes he doesn't even give quizzes. No mid-terms or a final. This was a great class to balance out my schedule, very minimal work, doesn't take attendance, only a lecture component (no discussion). Plus,Vitercik is an easy-going, flexible teacher to have. Bottom line: easy class, take it!

Very easy class, almost no work, Vitercik is one of the nicest professors at Middlebury
