Christal is amazing. She is a tough instructor and doesn't take crap or let people make excuses. She pushed me to be a better dancer and student. I really enjoyed this class. And it got me into shape!

Dance is a tricky class to take just for the fun of it because it feels the pressure to be a real academic discipline. The dancing was fun and challenging and I didn't mind being pushed pretty hard (though Christal was occasionally a little harsh if we weren't getting better as fast as she thought we should), but I thought she graded papers more harshly than warranted, especially when judging things like grammar and style. Christal is pretty definite in her opinions of what is good.
